Verbul in engleza       

Definitie: Verbul este parte de vorbire care arata  starea, actiunea sau existenta.

La fel ca in limba romana, verbul in engleza are mai multe timpuri:

·        Timpul prezent al verbelor in engleza

~      present simple :

     Avionul decoleaza  la 3 p.m.(The plane takes of at 3 p.m.).

~      present perfect simple:

     Wily este in Franta din Martie.(Wily has been in France since March.)

~      present continuous :

    Fac o prajitura chiar acum.(I am making a cake right now.)

~      present perfect continuous :

    Allan deseneaza un cal de o ora.(Allan has been drawing  a horse for an hour.)

·        Timpul trecut al verbelor in engleza

~        past simple:

     O intalneam mereu in drum spre scoala.(I met her everyday on my way to  school.)

~        past perfect  simple:

     Mama pregatise cina pana cand tata a sosit acasa.(Mother had cooked the dinner by the time father arrived at home.)

~        past continuous:

     Ma plimbam la ora 7 ieri. (I was walking at 7 o’clock yesterday.)

~        past perfect continuous:

     Imi asteptasem prietenul de la ora 1 cand intr-un final a ajuns.( I have been waiting for my friend  since one o’clock when he finally arrived.)

·       Timpul  viitor al verbelor in engleza

                   ~        future simple :

     Vei reusi daca vei muncii din greu.(You will succeed if you try hard.)

~        future continuous :

     Voi  lucre maine toata ziua.(I will be working all day tomorrow.)

~        future perfect simple :

     Imi voi fi invatat  rolul de luni.(I will have learnt my role by Monday.)

~        future perfect continuous :

     Cand te intorci, el te va fi asteptand de 2 ore.(When you return, he will have been waiting for 2 hours.)

~        future in the past:

     Ea a spus ca va merge la cumparaturi.(She said she would go shopping.)

Observatie 1 : Verbele in engleza sunt regulate cat si neregulate; cele regulate atunci cand verbele in engleza sunt conjugate la forme de trecut acestea primesc  ca si terminatie “-ed”, iar cele neregulate au forme diferite la cel putin una din formele trecutului .

        Exemplu:u:

~        a dansa  (to  dance-danced-danced)

~        a fi (to be-was/were-been)

Observatie 2: Spre deosebire de limba romana in limba engleza toate propozitiile au subiect.

     Exemplu:

~  Ploua. (It is raining.)
